Steven: I joined ku-ring ga national park rangers because I wanted to do hands on experience in the wild.
Dylan: What do you love about your job the most?
Steven: I have lots of things that I love about my job, but if I had to pick one it would be that every day is a new day.
Dylan: What tracks would you recommend to local bush walkers or explorers?
Steven: I would recommend the American bay Track The track has a wide range of beautiful scenery over the Pittwater, This track also reflects well on the aboriginal life .
Dylan: Is there any bush tucker that I could eat If I went on a bushwalk in ku-ring gai national park?
Steven: Yes, there are several types of bush tucker this includes, wombat berry, native cherry, blackberries.
Dylan: What animals can you see ?
Steven: you can mostly see swamp wallabies , kookaburras, ring-tail possum and other small mammals
Are there any aboriginal art / rock ingravements on the ku-ring gai area. Yes for sure, there is a bushwalk track “Aboriginal Heritage Track”.
Dylan: What are the most common trees in ku-ring gai national park?
Steven:The most common type of tree that is in the ku-ring gai, it would be the eucalyptus tree but they have been chopped down in the past years, the most current tree type is the red gum tree.
Dylan Can you find koalas in ku-ring gai national park at any time of year?
Steven: It is very unlikely to find a koala in ku-ring gai any time of year due to habbit loss and this impacts the loss of numbers for the koalas to breed by them self
